It is important to contact us right away about schedule conflicts or discrepancies, not only to get things straightened out, but to avoid possible No Show charges.

Staying in Sync about your Student: Communication with Stepping Stones

Even though our primary time commitment is with your child, communication with parents is a high priority at Stepping Stones. We encourage ongoing dialogue between parents and teachers. We also want you to know that our administrative staff is always available to discuss any concerns you may have. Please feel free to contact us at anytime.

Stepping Stones welcomes communication and collaboration from your child’s classroom teacher, counselor(s), principal/ head of school, or any other professional who works with him/her. Feel free to suggest that any of them contact us if it would be helpful to your student’s program with us.

Attendance: Consistency is Key

Student attendance should be regular in order for us to provide an effective program. In fact, we have found that a student’s progress directly correlates with his/her regular attendance. Once your child’s schedule has been established, please encourage your student to arrive promptly and attend consistently.

No-Shows will be charged a cancellation fee.

Cancellations: Sometimes Things Happen

Stepping Stones has a commitment to your student AND also our Tutors, Teachers, and Therapists.  It is important that the time of all those involved in your student’s success is respected.  However, we know occasionally that, well, life happens.  After 9pm, we make a commitment to our tutors, teachers and therapists for their next day’s schedule.

We accept cancellations at no charge until 9pm the day previous to your session.

Families with cancellations after 9pm the evening previous to your session will be charged a

$50 cancellation fee.

Please contact us as soon as possible when you know your student can not attend.

You can contact us by Phone, Text, an Email to scheduling@steppingstones.net or by using the Contact Us links at the bottom of our home page.

Billing and Payment: Understand your Monthly Bill

Stepping Stones uses a secure electronic payment service (Stripe) to receive payment for your bill.   You can change your preferred payment method through the Stepping Stones Scheduling system under Billing->Credit Card.

During the first week of each month your preferred payment method, established at sign-up, is automatically charged for services provided the previous month.  This will appear as “Stepping StonesXXXXX” on your credit card bill or bank statement.

You are able to see your charges in two ways:

  • We send you an email with an statement attached reflecting a $0.00 balance owed.
  • You can also see your current and past invoices at any time using the Stepping Stones Scheduling system under Billing>Transactions.

Please contact us right away if you see any discrepancies with your bill so we can correct them as quickly as possible.

We know that under rare conditions an electronic payment method may not be possible.  Please contact our office to discuss other options.
